Sheikh Hamdan Approves Three Major Landmark Projects

Dubai has announced three ambitious new development projects aimed at enhancing the city’s global reputation for innovation, tourism, and cultural heritage. The projects were approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and are part of Dubai’s long-term strategy to become one of the world’s most advanced and livable cities.

1. World’s First AI-Designed Park

One of the most innovative announcements is the creation of what officials describe as the world’s first park designed using artificial intelligence. AI technology will assist architects and planners in optimizing the park’s layout, landscaping, visitor experience, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

The park will feature smart irrigation systems, intelligent lighting, shaded relaxation areas, walking and cycling tracks, and interactive digital experiences. Officials believe AI-assisted planning can reduce maintenance costs while creating a more enjoyable environment for residents and tourists.

2. Dubai Creek Lighting Project

Dubai will also launch an 8-kilometre lighting transformation along the historic Dubai Creek.

The project will use advanced architectural lighting to illuminate bridges, waterfronts, promenades, and public spaces. The aim is to enhance Dubai Creek’s nighttime appearance while boosting tourism and supporting restaurants, hotels, and retail businesses located along the waterfront.

Urban planners expect the upgraded waterfront to become a major evening destination for both residents and international visitors.

3. New Falcon Market

The third project is a dedicated Falcon Market, celebrating one of the UAE’s most important cultural traditions.

Falconry has deep historical significance in Emirati society and is recognized by UNESCO as an important element of cultural heritage. The new market will provide facilities for falcon trading, veterinary care, equipment, exhibitions, and educational experiences for tourists interested in learning about this centuries-old tradition.

Supporting Dubai’s Vision

Officials say these developments combine technology, sustainability, tourism, and heritage in a way that reflects Dubai’s long-term vision. The projects are expected to create new business opportunities, attract international visitors, improve public spaces, and further strengthen Dubai’s position as a leading global destination for living, business, and tourism.

Construction timelines and additional implementation details are expected to be announced in the coming months as planning progresses.
